Anti-wrinkle injections are designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the face. The treatment involves injecting specific facial muscles, causing them to relax and smooth out the skin. Anti-wrinkle injections are a safe and effective way to rejuvenate your appearance and achieve a more youthful, refreshed look.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

Anti-wrinkle injections use botulinum toxin A and relax the muscle that is treated. Botulinum toxin A can also stop excessive sweating by blocking the release of acetylcholine, which mediates sympathetic neurotransmission in the sweat glands.

This treatment is best suited to the axilla (armpits), with the effects last six to nine months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do anti-wrinkle injections hurt? Everyone experiences pain differently and has different pain thresholds. However, when it comes to Anti-Wrinkle Cosmetic Injectables, most clients compare the sensation of the face injections to a quick prick. There is a slight pinching feeling, but it only lasts for a few seconds.

How long do anti-wrinkle cosmetic injectable results last? Anti-Wrinkle treatments begin to work 2-3 days after the treatment and reach their full effect within 14 days. The effects can typically last for up to 3-4 months depending on the individual.

What Anti-Wrinkle products do you use? Due to the advertising regulations set out by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, we are unable to publish the brand names of prescription medicines such as Anti-Wrinkle. Your cosmetic injector can freely talk about which brand is available for you during your consult.

Who should avoid Anti-Wrinkle injections? -Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding (lactating). -People with an active infection or skin injury near the site of injection. -People with previous allergy to any anti-wrinkle injection. -People with a history of excessive scarring (thick, hard scars) -People with amyotrophic lateralizing sclerosis myopathies -People with neuromuscular disorders such as Myasthenia Gravis or Eaton Lambert Syndrome - People under 18 years of age

Can I get the treatment if I have had cold sores? If you have had a cold sore before, it is recommended that you are pre-treated with acyclovir the day before your treatment and the following day. You can buy this from your local pharmacy. The virus that caused the cold sore lies dormant in the nerve and reactivation can sometimes occur from the needles during an aesthetic procedure.
